A Magistrate cancelled a teenage student's Christmas after he admitted having pounds10 worth of cannabis in his car.
John Turner, Werder Bremen chairman of the magistrates sitting at Stroud, told Nicholas John Leguen-De-Lacroix, 18, that he needed to be "taught a lesson" when he appeared at court yesterday.
"This is the fourth offence for a similar matter," said Mr Turner, sentencing the Cirencester College student to a two-month curfew order.
"You need to be taught a lesson."
The order bans him from leaving the family home at Shortwood, Nailsworth, between 7pm and 7am.
"What that effectively means is that your Christmas and New Year has been cancelled," said Mr Turner.
"What this will teach you is that you can't put two fingers up to this court and get away with it."
jewelry-v The court heard police stopped the car Leguen-De-Lacroix was driving on November 30 at 10am.
"Once searched he was found in possession of a quantity of vegetable matter, later found to be cannabis," said Rebecca Gardner, prosecuting.
"He admitted it was cannabis for his own personal use and was worth pounds10."
Lisa Ellis, defending, said her client had completed a community order for other similar offences and handed references to the bench.
"He said he forgot the 深圳搬家公司 cannabis was in his car," she said.
"He was fully co-operative with police, he told them it was cannabis. It was pounds10 worth, if that.
"He has a glowing reference in relation to the community work he undertook."
